The Socialist Students’ Union is the student wing of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), committed to revolutionary socialist transformation guided by Marxist-Leninist ideology. It leads the student movement for free and equitable education in Sri Lanka, organizing in schools, universities, and higher learning institutions. The Union plays a pivotal role in educating and preparing students for class struggle not only within the Students’ Union but across the student community linking education with labor and revolutionary political awareness.
